Look at our handsome boy!
He got braces and glasses on the very same day a few weeks before 3rd grade!
He has been such a good sport and has actually loved having glasses..........the braces he could probably do without because they have caused him some pain.............. it's just four braces to straighten the top teeth!
You can't really tell in this photo, but the ear pieces on his glasses are a camo pattern!
He loves them!

Brynley's 4th Birthday
I can't believe my baby girl is 4!!
We had a really fun birthday day!
She did not want a friend birthday party! She just wanted her cousins to come over!
So they came over and we had a family birthday party!!
Brynley...after opening her presents.
All dressed for the event!
For the last four months, all she wanted for her birthday was a princess castle birthday cake!
So that is what I did for her. It took over 4 hours, but she loved it!!!
In the beginning stages!

What a fun day it was for Brynley!
She also got a pink scooter (just like brother's, but pink)
A princess basket for the front of her bike (so I don't have to carry all her trinkets, and snacks)
A dress from Grandma. Thanks Grandma!!
A musical ballerina jewelry box and necklace/bracelet from her cousins!
And glitter toes with mom! What fun we had!
I love you Brynley!

Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle
So........ this is the first time I have ever made a trifle.
It was totally not as hard as I thought It would be.
I'm kind of proud of myself!
Not the prettiest, without all the garnish on top.........but who needs that!
It's the taste that counts!!
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened (I used Nuefachel)
2 cups powdered sugar
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream (I used light)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 tub (12 oz) Cool Whip, thawed (I used light)
4 tablespoons sugar
1 angel food cake, torn into bite-size pieces
2 bags frozen strawberries (I used 3 tubs fresh)
Method:
1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until fluffy; add sour cream, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and the almond extract; set aside.
2. Fold the cool whip into the cream cheese mixture.
3. Gently stir in cake pieces; set aside.
4. Combine strawberries and sugar, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
5. Layer in a large glass bowl, with strawberries on the bottom, and end with cream cheese mix.

Braden's First Scout Blue and Gold Banquet
We had fun making Braden's cake for his first Blue and Gold Banquet!
The theme was to be about any state in the U.S.
We did a beehive, of course, because we live in the beehive state.
Isn't he handsome!!
Fun!
